The Max Planck Computing and Data Facility (MPCDF), based at the research campus Garching near Munich, is a competence center of the Max Planck Society. MPCDF operates large supercomputers and several smaller computing systems as well as data repositories for various Max Planck Institutes and one of the largest academic archival systems within Europe.

Aufgabe:

Modernization and further development of the existing LDAP environment Integration of Windows AD with Unix LDAP and Kerberos Administration and operation of the IAM systems Linux server administration via SSH and server deployment with Ansible

Qualifikation:

The applicant should have a bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, physics, applied mathematics, or a similar subject, but with a strong and clear experience in IT. Skills and experience in several of the following areas would be ideal, but your motivation to learn is just as important: Experience with directory services technologies (LDAP, Kerberos, Active Directory) Programming and scripting experience (e.g. Python, Bash, or others) Good knowledge of Linux administration including the use of DevOps tools such as Ansible Experience with git as well as code versioning and review workflows Creativity for problem solving under changing conditions, as well as accuracy and attention to details
